Travel Responsibly on the Missouri River
Safety is of utmost importance to us on the South Dakota Missouri River. When
fishing, hunting or using the river for other activities, we ask that you take the following
precautions: Wash your hands whenever possible. Maintain a suitable distance from
others. Wear a mask when social distancing isn’t possible. Following these rules gives
each angler, hunter and explorer peace of mind and allows for fun, worry-free adventure.
Explore Our Lakes

Along the Missouri River, we have four large man-made reservoirs: Lake
Sharpe, Lake Oahe, Lake Francis Case and Lewis & Clark Lake. Each one offers an
abundance of adventure. The lodging accommodations around each lake are safe and
ready for your family.
Hunting and Fishing
Your next outdoor adventure is a river’s bend away. Every year, thousands of
hunters come from around the world come to land along the river to hunt pheasant,
duck, goose and deer. Anglers flock to the region’s lakes and rivers to fish for a variety
of eye-catching species.

Communities to Discover
The communities along the Missouri River are charming and ready to go for
whatever adventure you have in mind. Each location has unique food, lodging and
events that will have you yearning for more time on the river. Together, we’re doing
everything we can to make your trip as safe as possible.
